The Women's Fund for San Benito County envisions a community where women have a respected, influential, equitable voice and help create a legacy of empowerment for future generations.
You can be a part of this effort! Join us for our first Women's Fund INSPIRE event.
Our evening's keynote speaker will be Salinas native and UCSC alumna, Corrine Warnshuis, who is the Executive Director of Girl Develop It. Girl Develop It is a national nonprofit that teaches women web and software development. With 50 plus chapters nationally, this organization empowers women to learn new skills that will improve their careers and confidence in everyday life.
Inspired by Girl Develop It, this event will be promoting STEM education for advancement of women in the career fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, which traditionally have been occupied by men. We will also hear from Gavilan College about their STEM grant and expansion of educational courses offered to local students.
