I Live Here. I Give Here. I Give for Good.

The Community Foundation for San Benito County is dedicated to supporting the county and all its residents. I am happy to have joined the Community Foundation in making a positive impact on our community.

Since its founding in 1992, the Community Foundation has directed over 35 million dollars in grants back to the community. Last year, in response to the pandemic and the growing need for safety and stability in the community, the Community Foundation opened the COVID-19 Relief Fund; and has since directed over one million dollars to those impacted by the crisis. Another cycle of grants is to be awarded this year to nonprofits still recovering from the pandemic’s effects and implementing safety measures for reopening. In addition, over $360,000 has already been granted earlier this May to fund nonprofit community projects.

This past year, the Community Foundation granted funding for farmworker families to receive cellular phones since many families had one phone to share as a family without communication during the day with their children at home. Over 150 farmworkers received work shoes and socks purchased locally through a grant. Work clothes were distributed to over 400 farmworkers. Food distributions went to working families throughout the county.

With your generous donations, we were able to assist our essential workers and their families, hope you can again help us so we can help others.

Every dollar you give helps in the Foundation’s mission to meet the needs of the community and create a better future for all those living within San Benito County. Donations will all be matched up to $50,000 by a generous board member.

Let's give towards the good of our community!
